Gilbert A. Herrera has joined LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors as a director, announced William “Ted” Mason, firm CEO and president. He joins the firm’s Consulting Services Group in the Houston office. His focus will be on delivering transaction advisory services, litigation services, and business valuations.
Herrera has over 35 years of experience advising family-owned and closely-held companies. Prior to joining LaPorte, he owned Herrera Partners, a financial consulting firm that provided acquisition advisory services including allocation of purchase price, impairment studies, and valuations for corporate clients. He also provided damage, proximate cause and expert testimony in litigation disputes and restructuring services including the sale/disposition of non-core assets as part of debt restructuring and pre-packaged plans.
